Important information

Visit the pharmacy as soon as possible if you are unsure. In a confidential and discreet discussion with the pharmacist, you will be informed about the morning-after pill and a questionnaire will be used to find out whether the morning-after pill is really necessary.
The consultation takes place in a separate consultation room. The probability of becoming unintentionally pregnant after a contraceptive failure is high.
Without emergency contraception, this is 5.5 percent. By taking the morning-after pill, the risk of becoming pregnant can be minimized to 0.9%.

A consultation is required for the morning-after pill. You can take advantage of this with or without an appointment. If required, we also offer advice on various contraceptives and contraceptive methods.

The earlier you come in, the safer the morning-after pill works. Therefore, come to the pharmacy no later than five days after sexual intercourse.

The pill consultation without the “morning after pill” costs CHF 20.00.

The morning-after pill contains either the active ingredient levonorgestrel or ulipristal acetate. The active ingredients delay ovulation by at least five days - i.e. for as long as the male sperm can survive in the female body. This delay means that the sperm can no longer fertilize the eggs.
The morning-after pill has a short-term effect and the hormonal changes are temporary. Fertility is not affected.
